Hulihee Palace
75-5718 Alii Drive, Kailua-Kona, Big Island, Hawaii

Here’s one for the history and antique buffs. In the 1800s, Hulihee Palace was home to various members of the Hawaiian royal family and served as a go-to vacation spot for all of the blue-bloods of the day. Today it’s a museum where visitors can get a guided tour of the palace which has been fully restored to its Victorian splendor with original furniture, artwork, and antique décor. The manicured grounds are also a sight to behold, with breathtaking ocean views and swaying palms. While there, be sure to check out Mokuaikaua Church—Hawaii’s oldest Christian church (built in 1820)—located just across the road.
