Pua Mau Place
10 Ala Kahua Drive, Kawaihae, Big Island, Hawaii
If you’re looking for a lovely botanical garden filled with positive, spiritual energy from the all powerful sun (if you’re into that sort of thing!), then stop by Pua Mau Place—a garden unique for housing a Celtic “magic” stone circle, aligned according to the sun’s movements during equinoxes and solstices. Pua Mau place, of course, also has a fine collection of continuous flowering plants so you’ll be greeted by blooms no matter what time of the year you visit. There are also original sculptures, red lava boulders, as well as natural ravines lined with brilliant red lava rock due in part to the arid climate (unique to the area) of the Kohala mountains.
