Na Aina Kai Gardens
4101 Wailapa Road, Kilauea, Kauai, Hawaii

These unique, whimsical gardens are a favorite among tourists not only for their exotic beauty, but for the array of fun activities available there. See humidity-loving plants (such as carnivorous pitcher plants and Mexican butterworts) at the Bog House, drought-resistant cacti and succulents in the Desert Garden, and stunning rainforest flora and fruit in the Wild Forest Garden. Kids can take a dip in Jack’s pond, ride on a train, and play in a rubber tree house at The “Under the Rainbow” Children’s Garden, while fun-loving folks of all ages can enjoy themselves in the Poinciana Hedge Maze and explore the miniature ahupua‘a—a lifelike replica (crafted from fiberglass and bronze) of a native Hawaiian settlement complete with waterfalls, fish, a longhouse, gardens, huts, and busy settlers.
